Description
Piter De Vries was like Thufir Hawat, a Mentat. A mentat is basically a human computer capable of extremely high levels of knowing. In Lynch's film, he gave De Vries and Hawat these gross furry 6 inch think eyebrows, as opposed to the reddish stain around the mouth they both share. Again, I thought that the eyebrows only contributed to Lynch's bizarre aesthetic, and the only purpose WAS to be bizarre.

I didn't think Brad Dourif was a bad choice for Piter either, but Ulrich Matthes does have a quality to him that comes off as unsettling.
