Modern Medusa by Deimos-Remus Modern Medusa by Deimos-Remus
Wanted to do another pinup, and I've been wanting to draw a take on Medusa for a while now, so I just thought why not and combine the two.

As with most of my pieces, the drawing is traditionally done, with the colors added digitally.

She looks like you either used a model or had someone special in mind while drawing -- adds to the realism

I used the 50's and 60s model, June Palmer for her face, but the rest of the body was more or less made up.

Very cool. The bolder colors in the "hair" are a nice touch.

I have to say, I love the different snakes you used for her hair. It adds a lot of color, and at a first glance you wouldn't realize it's snakes. Makes her extra deadly ;)

Thanks! I looked at paintings of Medusa from the 1800s, and an element they all shared was a variety of snakes, which I really liked the look of.
