I still have my old manual for it somewhere, with that damned false bomb code. I emulate it sometimes to play it a bit when I'm bored. Bungie should remake/Port it honestly. I remember reading somewhere that people fit the games story into Marathon's. But anyways, I really dig the poster, it says a lot to people who remember the game.
It was in the fan-made port 'Aleph One' where the two stories meshed together a bit at the beginning of the game. There is a modern conversion I believe where it uses PiD's game but with Marathon's more convenient interface (PiD's was super irritating) called Marathon: PiD or Marathon: Pathways into Darkness. Can't remember if it was completed, but it might be worth checking out.
Bungie needs to revisit both this and Marathon, I sincerely hope they tackle one of them after Destiny.
Yup! Marathon to me has the best story in any game I've ever played, but without sacrificing gameplay like many games now. Same with PiD, though its interface didn't have much to be desired.
I wish Bungie would give Marathon more exposure and even though I'd probably love the originals more, I wish they'd create a reboot. They obviously still love their property, and it still belongs to them, unlike Halo. I know that after Destiny, they do have some plans relating to Marathon, but what I don't know.
