R.I.P Frank Frazetta

As a lot of you may know, Frank Frazetta passed away recently, dying at age 82. Frazetta was one of the most (if not the most) Iconic illustrators of all time, specializing in the fantasy and sci-fi genre. You could spend hours looking at his painting because they were so full of life, had great color choices, great compositions, had amazing figure work and subtle details. Its for those reasons why I think that Frazetta was among the best artists of all time.

I decided to paint the Death Dealer, Frank's most recognizable character. I tried to make it resemble Frazetta's style, and I took elements from both his first and second images of the character.
